Scientific Advisory Board¶

The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) was formed to review the LUNA25 study design and outcomes. A well-considered study protocol helps to conduct high-quality and impactful research. This promotes a more reliable evaluation of the results, enabling the scientific community to draw robust conclusions and shape future research directions and can help to ensure meaningful validation of AI towards clinical translation. To support the quality of findings from the LUNA25 challenge, members of the SAB were asked to collaborate on the following aspects of the study: ensuring a strong reference standard, a representative and meaningful testing cohort, and a reliable validation of AI.
